Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Watch Lists Established
Baltimore, Md. (December 4, 2020) — Corrigan Sports Enterprises announces the creation of the first-ever Watch Lists in advance of the 2021 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse games. The Watch Lists for Senior Boys and Girls will be integrated into the annual All-America selection process conducted by a panel of lacrosse experts.
The initial wave of players under consideration for the inaugural Senior All-America Watch Lists are student-athletes from the graduating class of 2021 who made their regional Highlight team. All-America Underclass coaches and additional Selection Committee members will nominate players in multiple waves, based on their performance during All-America events (Super Regionals, National Championship Weekend, 2021 Winter Callback Academy and All-America Winter Vengeance Lacrosse Tournament) as well as their high school and club play.
Lee Corrigan, president of CSE, said, “The Watch Lists will give players valuable national exposure as they pursue their dreams to compete at the next level. Most student-athletes lost their high school season in 2020. This gives us a great starting place for identifying the next group of All-America selections. Being named an Under Armour All-American remains the sport’s highest high school honor and this new process will arm the Selection Committee with additional measurables for their future decisions.”
The inaugural All-America Winter Vengeance Lacrosse Tournament is scheduled for January 16–17, 2021 at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay in Tampa, Fla. The invitational event is open exclusively to this year’s Highlight and Command teams from all 12 regions as well as the individuals who competed in the Spotlight competition during All-America Championship weekend in October.
