Corrigan Sports Lacrosse Series Partners with Susan G. Komen Maryland
Annapolis, MD (May 1, 2020)
Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) launched the charitable component of its Lacrosse Series today with the selection of Susan G. Komen Maryland as its Charity Partner. The girls’ lacrosse events owned and operated by CSE will serve as fund raising platforms and communicate Komen’s educational messages in the fight against breast cancer.
Michael Jessup, executive director of Susan G. Komen Maryland, said: “Susan G. Komen Maryland is grateful for our partnership with Corrigan Sports. Through this partnership, the lacrosse community continues its history of generosity by helping Komen Maryland save lives through breast cancer research and direct support to those in treatment.”
“The team environment at our tournaments serves as a natural classroom to educate our youth about women’s health,” stated Lee Corrigan, president of CSE. “In addition to offering physical exercise, thru this partnership student-athletes can also experience personal enrichment through philanthropy.”
The two prominent Maryland companies first celebrate their reunion on August 23, 2020 in Frederick County with the fifth annual cycling fundraiser known as The Promise Ride. CSE and Komen have collaborated in the past on events such as the Preakness 5K and Komen’s Race for the Cure.
